I'm using autoCAD 2010.

I got 2 layers, namely layer1 and viewport.

current layer : layer1

working envi : layout (aka paper space)

Objective:I wanted to show my drawing inside a polygon and later on turn off the polygon.

Workflow: I drew a polygon. Then command mview, then object, then select the polygon. Now I have my drawing inside the polygon. I select the mview by crossing window and checked the properties. 1 object (mview).

I changed the layer to viewport and hit layer off. The polygon won't disappear. Hit freeze, still there. I even clip the viewport, it will clip but still there.

It seems the only solution is to do the task again but this time set the current layer to viewport. This is tedious specially if you're doing complex drawings.

Does anybody experience the same bug from 2010 or it's just me?

Help is greatly appreciated.

Are you inside the view port when you are looking at it?

Have you tried regen?

Yes I did regen. I am working on the layout tab. I am not inside any view port.
