SteveHynes Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Hello there I am currently working on civil drawings where the drawing units are in meters. Because of this I cannot seem to get the right scale when I hatch! I try to hatch things like gravel or concrete, and I have to use a scale so small, and most of the time I cannot get the scale small enough that I want. Please help. Quote
eldon Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I think that you will find that the hatch patterns for the metric scale were written for mm units. So when using metre units you will have to start at a scale of 0.001, and see how that is. Also watch out if you are working in large number coordinates, because if the concrete hatching gets too far from the origin, it gets upset. try moving the hatch origin closer to the hatching area. I did not think that is was possible to put in a scale that was too small. Perhaps you could post some screen images. Quote
SteveHynes Posted April 1, 2010 Author Posted April 1, 2010 thats my problem! i start the scale off so small, at something like 0.001, and then it cannot get any smaller and disappears. Quote

I still do not understand what you are trying to say. As in the attached picture, if you INCREASE the scale, you get less of the hatch in the same area. If you DECREASE (i.e. get smaller), you get more hatch in the area until you get a message that the hatch is too dense to show. Your statement is not explicit, and I am not sure what it is that disappears Quote
