musyas Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 I DL a 2D drawing(object) here that has a different view.. In the Model Space it is draw in a Horizontal View, but in the Layout it was draw in a Diagonal View.. and in the other point of view (according to my test) the Layout is the exact image view. My question is how can I do that tricks or commands in the Model Space??. Ex. I’ll make a line in Layout with a 45 Degree angle , but in the Model Space it is in 0 Degree or in a horizontal view. ReMark Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 If the view you are seeing in your layout is different than what appears in model space then perhaps it has either been rotated? Quote
MikeScott Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 It's because when you draw without actual 3d start and stop points, your line automatically aligns with the UCS. As ReMark mentioned, your layout view is rotated to an angle.. but your UCS hasn't changed. The line hasn't moved.. it's just what it looks like from two different view angles. Quote
MikeScott Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Well, that's what they said.. but they're viewing the 2d shape from a 3d view. So the UCS might be flat, but not flat to whatever 3dview they're drawing it from, AND flat to the flat view at the same time. It's kinda like drawing a line on a piece of paper.. tilting the paper, and wondering why the line appears to have moved. Viewports are just views of the same object. When you say it was "drawn diagonal".. you need to understand that's not what you're looking at. The program isn't redrawing it, it's giving you a view of it from whatever angle to told it to look at it from. It is being VIEWED from an angle that makes it appear diagonal. However, when you draw, you may not be "flat on the paper" depending upon your UCS. So it may have appeared that you drew a 45 degree angle from the one view, and different degree angle in the other view. Quote
musyas Posted April 9, 2010 Author Posted April 9, 2010 All i'm talking about is a 2D Plan.. It is related on Northing and Easting UCS. Units is Grads... I just to have an idea how this Layout image(Title Block) rotated diagonal 45degree 26' 10", is viewed proper in Model Space Quote
Fire_col Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Have you checked that your view in your viewport is set to top and not south west? Quote
ReMark Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 What's more important? Figuring out why it happened or straightening it out? Quote
