Rhayes Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 What are firms using for Detail Library.??? We are a mid size Architectural Firm and we have a huge amount of AutoCAD Details But they are not easily accessible. I am looking for a way to organize our cad details So that everyone can search them and find what they need quickly. Are there any programs out there that do this.??? Quote
lpseifert Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Google 'Block Manager Autocad' ... you'll get plenty of hits. Quote
BOB'27T Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 We keep all of ours on our "N" drive. They are categorized by sewer, water, storm, etc. This makes easily accessible by everybody. Quote
haku_824 Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 The way we keep things organized/easy to use is through tool palettes. If you have all of your blocks/details saved in a local location (network), you can set up tool palettes for all of your needs. Tool palettes are nice because you can set up layer, scale, rotation, etc. So I would suggest looking into doing it that way. Also, you can export it all so you can easily pass it along to everyone once you have it set up the way you want. Hope this was helpful! Quote
