Pickbox disappeared and I can't select anything...PLEASE HELP!

I was working on a drawing and needed to rotate the view within a viewport. I used MVSETUP to do that, but upon completing the command my pickbox has disappeared and I cannot select anything now. It doesn't matter if I'm in MS or PS, or if I change drawing files. I've restarted AutoCAD and still no change. Is this a quirk? or did I somehow activate an obscure setting that won't allow me to select objects and make my pickbox disappear? PLEASE HELP! Thanks.

I forgot to mention that I'm an AutoCAD 2009 user. Thanks.

Got it fixed now...a computer-guru friend of mine figured out that my AutoCAD profile in the registry had become corrupted and was able to delete it.
