I am creating an R/C Plane(WWII P 51 Mustang) in Inventor 2010 for an Assignment. I want to be about to put authentic images on the wings(eg. Allied WWII symbol). My problem is that the wings are to scale and have been lofted so they are not a rectangular flat face...

Is its possible to put an image physically on the the lofted wings?

Thanks

You should be able to. Create a 2D sketch at some distance from the surface you want to put the images onto. Insert the image in the sketch. Use "Decal" feature, select the sketch with the image, and pick the surface you wish for the image to go on - in this case, the wing, and it should work. BTW, this is using Inventor 2010. Earlier versions, not sure if they have the same capability. Hope that helps. Regard, David
