Two Feature Trees?

Recommended Posts

I was given an assembly file that I need to do a few things with. It came in with two feature trees. They are both identical. Im really at a loss as to how this happened or how to get rid of it. Its only this assembly file. None of my files or other files I open are like this. This assembly produces two feature trees on the machine it was created on and the original user doesnt know how this happened.

Anyone seen this before and know how to get rid of it. Right now i just took the bottom of one and pulled it down to the bottom of my screen but knowing its there kinda bothers me :D.

thanks

ps, sorry i cant give you a screen shot of the whole thing but here you can see they are identical.

I don't have SWx on my current machine but this looks similar to when creating Configurations in the part environment. There should be several buttons at the top of either browser that can be selected for different tree views.

Yes JD, each tree has the feature properties, configurations, dimxpert and render manager tab. both are identical though. The only benefit i could see to this is possibly keeping one tab(say configurations) open on the bottom and the feature tree open at the top. I would still like to know if its intentional or a glitch of some sort:)

I've had this before, for some reason I might have split the feature tree so there was two.

I think I just dragged one feature tree until you couldn't see it anymore. I don't think it's a glitch or affects anything, more just for viewing purposes.
