Hi,

I was wondering if i can get some help here with Text issue on my drawing.

I have a titleblock made up using the block attributes (- it is like when you double click on the titleblock, a kinda userform pops up prompting for some inputs and it will dump all the values onto their designated location in the titleblock).

The texts in the titleblock use Garamond fonts and all the texts are in Capital letters.

The problem is when printing out the drawing, i saw some strange texts printed out. I mean you can still read the texts but they are not solid as in total ink black colour. All the texts have got a shape but sort of hollow on the inside (no colour). I can tell they are garamond in fonts. I have tried to think of anything else but to no avail.

I hope i explained it well to you. I use AutoCAD LT 2005

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance

I'll check when I get to work but I think there is a TEXTFILL (maybe TEXTFIL)variable. Is that set to 1?

Thanks a lot, dbroada.

It works now once i changed the TEXTFILL to 1.

Thanks

Garamond is a true type font so I wasn't sure if TEXTFILL was appropriate but this is what help says...

Several factors affect the display of TrueType fonts in a drawing.

TrueType fonts always appear filled in your drawing; however, when you plot, the TEXTFILL system variable controls whether the fonts are filled. By default TEXTFILL is set to 1 to plot the filled-in fonts.

The In-Place Text Editor can display only fonts that are recognized by Microsoft Windows. Because SHX fonts are not recognized by Windows, a TrueType equivalent is supplied in the In-Place Text Editor when you select an SHX or any other non-TrueType font for editing.

so try check that variable first.
