Fire_col Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Have you saved it since you made those amendments? Have you tried the undo command? Quote
Tiger Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Hi Pokkiri, First, for the future, please do not post your question in multiple places or tack your question on to the end of an old thread. Start a new thread for each new question in the appropriate forum. (I have deleted all your rouge posts) That said, can you use the BAK-file? Should be in the same location as your DWG. Would UNDO work for you? Or perhaps the command OOPS (brings back the last erased object(s)? Quote
dbroada Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 if you are still in the drawing and haven't exited then Tiger's suggestions will work. If you have saved the drawing once you should be able to rename the .bak file to .dwg to recover the previous saved version. If however you have saved it more than once, including a QSAVE, you have lost all history currently associated with that drawing. Your next option is to get a network backup restored. If your company doesn't have this facility you can now explain why they should do. This time 2 lines, next time? Quote
eldin Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Did you close the drawing after deleting? if not: CTRL + Z, or 'OOPS' until the lines are back. If you did: Check the directory your drawing is saved, see if there is a .BAK file. rename it to blabla.DWG, and open. maybe it saved with your old lines.. Quote
KJB Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 The command REVERT will reopen the drawing without saving. Quote
pokkiri Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 no,thats undo ,.bak not be work.. b coz i deleted some lines on yesterday...also saved it yesterday...but now i want it in previous stage.... any chance...? how to do these "network backup restoring"... here is no network enginers...is it easy to do..? if u can tell just tell.. dbroada Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 from the details you have given us, it can't be done. Creating a network backup is something that has to be done BEFORE the problem arises. Out IT department make a full copy of our network every weekend and a partial one every night. Once a month the back up media gets moved to a safe area off site. That way we can never lose more than one day's work. This is an expensive process but would pay for itself many times over if our network suffered a catastrophic failure at any time. Quote
brl2008 Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 hi pokkiri try this, in cad open the file, right click the file number or name, a small window will open, go to properties, in the properties window hit the tab mark previous version and find a early version of your drawing and restore it and save it. good luck brl2008 Quote
