Photoview 360 cameras

Can you somehow use a custom camera view for multiple, separate renders using solidworks and photoview 360? I know you can save a custom view within a single render, but I need to render 20 or so different variations, and need the same exact angle for all the variations. Thanks!

I dont think so. I would just use photoworks inside SW and setup your scene. Possibly setup your different parts as configurations. You have really good camera control within photoworks but once you get into photoview(at least in 2009) you do not.

cool, thanks. I'm using a computer at work, and the solidworks doesn't appear to have photoworks as an option anymore - just photoview, externally. Is there a way to find it or get it back?

it has to be turned on from the Add-ins. Go to your tools menu and down to add ins. Its only included in the professional and premium packages so if you have the standard package it may not be there.

just to let you know, I figured it out in photoview. You have to do a bit of a work around, but it works fantastic.

The key is to start with your first solidworks file, save the custom view in photoview that you want for the rest, and make sure you save in photoview. Go back to solidworks with that file and just create your variation files with 'save as.' photoview will open all of the new files with the first custom view saved in all of them.
