The Best Mehtod To Erase An Object ???

What is the best way to erase a line or circle in Inventor 2009, while in an .IPT?

If I were to have only one object on the screen, I could just hit the back button, or highlight the item, and hit the DELETE key. But what if there were several objects on the screen? What would be the best way to erase only one of them?

Im not sure I am following your question. Are you in the sketch when you want to delete the line or back in the modeling environment? You can always go back and Edit the sketch. If you only want to remove part of the line or circle you can use the Trim command while in the sketch.

Sketch mode.

I want to erase the entire line, instead of just a portion of the line.

I don't understand why this should present a problem? Can you attach the file here?

The only thing I can think of is if you projected a line from another part in an assembly you might need to RMB Break Link. (or if it is alread sick (pink))

If you just click on the line or circle, it will be highlighted and you can hit the delete key unless im not following you. The number of lines in the sketch should have no affect on this.

This is the way I have been deleting lines.

I didn't know if there way a better way to do it.

Nope, once its gone its gone. On the other hand you can delete solid objects and surfaces/faces from your model as a feature that can be moved, suppressed or removed all together. But as far as a sketch goes, select and delete.
