Why don't you use Plot to get PDFs? Not saying it's wrong, just wondering. But if I may hazard a guess as to the difference; when you do Save As, you take where you are in the file and Save that to a new name and you are now in the new file. From your explanation, Save Copy As take where you are in the file, save that as a Copy and when done, you are still in the original file. Quote
shift1313 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 One difference is what happens to the active file. If you are working on a part(lets say its called Part1) and you Save it, part1 is still active. If you click Save As(part2), part1 is closed and part2 is now the active file. If you click Save Copy As(part1copy), there is a file named part1copy saved, but part1 is still the active file(or Part2 if you did SaveAs first like above). Save as doesnt allow you any file type options but Save Copy as does. I believe both save As and save Copy As do not reference the original document. For instance if you save as then perform some operations to the original file, the save as file doesnt change(i think). Quote
