vertical horizons Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Whenever you click on one of the corner, edges or faces of the View Cube, your image changes accordingly. If I am zoomed in real close, then click on the VC, the image pans out. However, if I highlight an object before I click on the VC, my image changes to the proper view, but stays focused on the highlighted item. Is there a way to control (other than highlighting an object) how much the distance changes when you click on the View Cube? Quote
shift1313 Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 I dont think so. Its zooming the window(or selection as you found). You can use the "steering wheel" and manually rotate about a point you select. I just hold down the F4 key and rotate my model. Quote
vertical horizons Posted May 23, 2010 Author Posted May 23, 2010 I figured out how to make the distance stay the same. Go to TOOLS > APPLICATION OPTIONS > DISPLAY. On this page, towards the bottom right, select "ViewCube ..." UNcheck "Fit-to-View on view change". Now, every time you click on the view cube, the distance remains the same. Quote
