gargoyle27 Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 i am trying to make a file for our plasma cutter to cut numbers out of steel, is there a way to convert text directly to an outline so the machine can read it? Quote
gargoyle27 Posted April 28, 2010 Author Posted April 28, 2010 i searched and found that already, but i don't have express tools and they weren't on my install disc either as far as i know is there another way? Quote
alanjt Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Express Tools should have come standard (somewhere on disk). I wonder if they can be downloaded from the site. Try WMFOUT and WMFIN (not sure if they are Express Tools). Quote
gargoyle27 Posted April 28, 2010 Author Posted April 28, 2010 that's for importing and exporting wmf files, and i don't know what those are or how they would help Quote
ReMark Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 There should have been an option when you first installed Mech 2009 for also installing Express Tools. If you have the original installation disk get it out. Then go to the Windows Control Panel and find the Add/Remove feature. Additional content can be added, after-the-fact, via Add/Remove. Quote

That's basically all TXTEXP does. You should have given them a try. There should have been an option when you first installed Mech 2009 for also installing Express Tools. Hopefully you can find and install ET. Quote
ReMark Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Read through this thread about Text Explode. The OP had a request similar to yours. http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=47146&highlight=Explode+Text Quote
