Parts List, Idw, Ballooned Items Only Filter

Hi.

 

How do you put a partlist on every sheet that only displays the ballooned items on that sheet? Is there a filter that can do so?

 

The parts list filter that "shows ballooned items only" seems to apply for all parts lists for ballooned items on all sheets.

Well im not sure if this is the correct way to do it, but if you are in your assembly file you can go to Bill of Materials on the Assemble tab above Manage. Inside there you have 3 tabs, Model Data, Structured and Parts Only. On the structured tab(you will have to right click and Enable BOM view). you can alter the BOM structure column. It will say Normal but if you hit a key such as the letter "P" a drop down arrow will appear and you can make the item "Phantom". This will remove it from the parts list. I havent done this but I believe you can create a few different Levels Of Detail with different BOM structures and get what you want. When creating the view in your idw file you will have your Positions, View and LOD to choose from.

 

Hopefully there is another way to do this. In solidworks I create different configurations and I have an Exclude from BOM check box I can apply.

Thanks for your input shift. I'll give your way a go, but I have worked around it recently by hiding items from the list on each sheet ...
