YZ Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Does anyone use survey or civil design software to transfer into AutoCAD? We use CivilCAD v5 and CivilCAD v6. But I think that may only be an Australian product, never quite sure. When we transfer data it creates a symbol, a level, and code for each point. The newer versions create them as attributes inside the symbol, but the old stuff we are used to working with created the text as separate entities. Is there a way to globally edit the rotation, height and position of the text attributes in 2 sets (ie RL and code)? I need to make each set identical at the start of a project, then move individual ones if they are overlapping. Used to lock everything except the codes, then do a MOVE command. Obviously that won't work anymore... Quote
rustysilo Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 What are you transferring from? Another cad format? Point files? Fieldbook files? Quote
YZ Posted August 27, 2008 Author Posted August 27, 2008 What are you transferring from? Another cad format? Point files? Fieldbook files? It's a coordinate geometry software used for downloading and reducing land survey data and civil design. It has the capacity to create its data into a dwg file, and it's the points and lines only that get me into trouble. (It is capable of contouring and 3D meshes, but they are not an issue here.) Quote
