TimZilla Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 I have different plotstlyes,ie: grayscale & monochrome. Lets say I have two viewports on one layout. I want one viewport to be in monochrome and one in grayscale. This is probably a very easy question to answer. I am just having trouble finding it. Quote
alanjt Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 You would have to change the colors within the viewport (possible with '08 and up). A CTB can be assigned to the layout, not individual viewports. Quote
TimZilla Posted May 5, 2010 Author Posted May 5, 2010 Thanks again Alan, didnt think about that. AutoCAD should make this possible. Quote
alanjt Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Thanks again Alan, didnt think about that. AutoCAD should make this possible. No problem. If they did, it would make plotting a nightmare. You couldn't Plot and choose pen settings, you would have to choose for each viewport. It would be a lot of extra work. *I suppose they could do pen setting assignment overrides.* Quote
TimZilla Posted May 6, 2010 Author Posted May 6, 2010 *I suppose they could do pen setting assignment overrides.* Perfect. Ever have a building too big? well, when I draw my matchline, I like everything after the match line to be a lighter. Hard to explain but makes it much easier to match up. Quote

To screen an area of a drawing. For CTB files - Create a layer with a color that can be set to 0% screened. If you use STB files simply use a plot style for 0% screening. Create a dense hatch (avoid dots, ansi31 or 37works well) on that layer, over the area you want screened. In your .pc3, under Graphics, Merge control, set to Lines Overwrite. If placing the hatch in PS, be sure to set Plot paperspace last in the plot dialog / page setup. Plot, adjust the hatch scale for your needs. Quote
