Changed layer color in xref, not changing in drawing file

Hi there,

 

So I changed the layer color in my xref file, and when I go to my drawing file that has that xref inserted into it.... the color remains the same as before and does not update. I tried saving and reopening the file, but it still remains the same.

 

What am I not doing right?

check the Visretain system variable. Should be 0 for edits to the xref reflect in the dwg. Or detach/attach the xref, but you'll lose viewport/layer control edits. You may just want to edit the layer color in the dwg (with Visretain=1)
