dogbytecomputers Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 I am trying to figure out how to successfully install Express tools on a 64 bit system. I am running Windows 7 Professional x64 with AutoCAD 2002. When I try to run Express Tools it tells me that it is not made for 64 bit systems and to contact the manufacturer. I have looked all over their site and have found nothing useful. Someone has had to have had this same problem and figured out a fix for it. PLEASE share it with me. thanks Quote
MSasu Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 Not absolutely sure, but is possible that the ARX files from that Express pack release were compiled to be run under a 32bit operating system, so are un-usable under yours. Try to manually load one Express ARX file (Tool -> Load Application…) to see if is rejected. This may be tough to accomplish, but can transfer the Express tools from an existing 32bit installation of AutoCAD 2002 to yours – need to figure out which are the files and their connections. ReMark Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 You're running a 32-bit piece of software on a 64-bit system right? Note: I have 2004 with Express Tools loaded on a Win7 64-bit system. Quote
