How do you put a hole in a curved surface

title explains it, i need to put a hole into a curved surface, it doesn't go all the way thru and it will need to be placed 4 times around the outside surface

there are a few ways to do that. The one i would typically use is extrude-cut to an offset surface then circular array the cut.
