gargoyle27 Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 i know i have done this before, but for some reason it doesn't want to work, i need to create a grease groove that only goes between the grooves on the edge (as opposed to the entire length) but i keep getting some kind of error (i am using a sketch on the end of the cylinder and extruding with the to-from command) i was going to attach the file but it wouldn't let me, do i have to zip files first? i don't have winzip Quote
shift1313 Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 What does the error say? if your sketch is on the end of your shaft you only need to use the To end condition and select the end of your shaft. Does it work if you use the Blind condition? Quote
gargoyle27 Posted May 18, 2010 Author Posted May 18, 2010 the goove is going between 2 other grooves, so its not touching either end of the shaft the error says something about the end points i picked don't completely terminate the feature or something i'm certain i used the same procedure i am trying now before and it worked just fine, so i'm lost Quote
gargoyle27 Posted May 18, 2010 Author Posted May 18, 2010 i just plain filled in the extra areas, doesnt look as clean but itll work, ive spent too much time on this already, thanks anyway Quote
gargoyle27 Posted May 18, 2010 Author Posted May 18, 2010 i figured out what it was if anyone wanted to know, the grooves were a different depth Quote
