Hi,

Today I face 1 Problem,

I receive a drawing, I just try to open but may be It is version is greater than 2008 (I use AutoCAD 2008 ), It's not open.

I have also DWGConverter but It's work only R14 to 2007 Versions.

I search this converter latest version but not found separately.

anybody have solution for this problem

and have latest ver. for DWGConverter (with 2011 Format) if Possible.

Thanks & Regards,

A potential quick fix is if anyone is around that has a recent enough version of AutoCAD (if I'm understanding the problem properly) get them to open the drawing and save it in an older format. Alternatively you could just ask the same of the person that sent you the drawing.

Yes, but listen to lpseifert. DWG TrueView, once downloaded (For Free) will save a lot of headaches. I've used it for years without upgrading AutoCad until recently. Never failed me.

Plus, you won't have to rely or wait on others to send you a save down.

Just offering another point of view

Yep - there's at least 50 ways to skin a cat in ACAD.:)

but This software need very big memory

and slow the computer speed

if the converter is separated, means need to very small memory for operation. and faster than True View.

if it's possible?

Can I get the latest version of Converter from any site or ...

Thanks & Regards:geek:,

Far as I know DWGconvert has not been available on its own since 2007 when it was merged into DWGtrueview.

If you have a full version not LT then try downloading DWGgateway from Solidworks.

This adds a menu and toolbar to your autocad that lets you open later autocad versions from within your autocad.

You cant use it with LT though because it uses lisp.

I agree with #3 noted above.

Couple of years ago, had to work with a certain person at a AC& HV mech. Engineering firm. They had theirown designed system, and it was based upon all the language in some R-12 version, and they just kept expanding upon it.

Then one day the boss asked me why no updates? They were sent via E;Mail to them twice per week.

Turns out the lead person at that SFO based firm had not figured out how to open up the intial one wayyyy back when, and never opened up another since, but said so.
