pliner420 Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 hey now I am using autocad2006 and I have a drawing that has an embedded "educational product" plot stamp that seems to be permanent. There is a message that appears about this when I open the file. Is there a way to disable the text? any help would be greatly appreciated MF
pliner420 Posted December 11, 2005 Author Posted December 11, 2005 note: this is an educational plot stamp
fuccaro Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Pliner420 This mark prevents the use of the educational software in commercial purposes. Is it ethical to remove it?
hendie Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 you should also note that if you copy anything from that drawing, then the plot stamp is copied into the new drawing, and so on. You should delete the drawing immediately, and delete any drawings that have come into contact with it, otherwise you the plot stamp infection will spread.
Cad64 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Contact the person who supplied you with these drawings and tell them they need to provide you with proper drawings created with a legal version of Autocad, not a student version. If they refuse to comply, contact your Autocad reseller, or your Autodesk rep, and report them. The educational version is for students, not working professionals. Contact Autodesk and report people who are using the student version for commercial purposes. Be part of the solution instead of helping to perpetuate the problem. http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/item?siteID=123112&id=2881274&linkID=9240617 Thread Closed
