Just want to know if anyone here has a good source of video tutorials for autocad 2002. If autocad has not changed much since 2002, are there vidios on 2006 I could view?

Lastly, I know rhino3d pretty well how close is the typed commands in rhino3d to that of autocad 2002?

Thanks

:)

You might find some on YouTube but I can't be 100% sure.

I suspect there would be, at least for you, a fairly big difference going from 2002 to 2006. Now if we were talking 2002 to 2011, well, it would be a huge difference.

It's been a while since I used Rhino so I couldn't tell you how close the typed in commands would be to AutoCAD 2002.

Sorry.

Tankman, I am in BC Canada.

Hopefully this will help me to get a jump start on learning the basics then move up. I have always enjoyed making things in 3d since the mid 90s but never pursued design. It was a time where it was design aka, 3d graphics and animation, or IT support. I find that design is more passive, does not have all the headaches of IT support and where you can be creative ;)

I will be asking questions form time to time. Also, are there group projects where people can help build something ?

I see a number of autocad jobs here in the Greater Vancouver area vs other applications so want to learn it.

lortech I too like design, been at my simple tanks, pipe, valves, whatever, for almost 40 years.

My work is strictly plan and elevation views. Once 'n awhile I might play with ISO or 3D but not much.

Forum members are always willing to help out, anything AutoCAD related.

I've learned plenty in these forums! Makes my work easier everyday.

The lessons at the University can also be downloaded in *.pdf format.

Good reference "stuff."

Have fun! Oh, I use AutoCAD at the request of my clients.

We communicate with *.pdf files and *.dwg files (*.dwg if I know the client well).
