IronHorse Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 I use Deep Exploration 6.1.2 (Cad version) to create .3DS files from .ITP and .IAM. But when i convert files from Inventor 2010/2011 and use the new "solid" feature. Deep Exporation cut all solids except one! Any Idé Quote
JD Mather Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 ...cut all solids except one!Any Idé Here is an idea - attach that one solid here so that others can take a look. Quote
IronHorse Posted May 22, 2010 Author Posted May 22, 2010 Here is my objects.. I attache my .iam also, I use Inventor 2011 Quote
JD Mather Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 Those look like pictures - not solid models. Must zip and attach ipt file(s). Quote
IronHorse Posted May 23, 2010 Author Posted May 23, 2010 I created new example, first one slightly to big for 250kb limit. This one very easy example, two solids and one cut through. When I open with deep exploration It only detects the lower (blue) solid ?? I tried alternative import, but that gives no result at all. However If I make this example as traditionel parts and make assembly It works with Deep exploration. Also If I take this part and save as .iges file It also works?! Testpart.zip Quote
JD Mather Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Sounds like that program does not read Inventor multi-body solids correctly. For simple solution go to the Manage tab and select Make Components to push out to individual parts and assembly (or use IGES as you have discovered). Quote
