Custom Seating Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 I've looked everywhere and I can't figure out how to change this setting in Inventor 2011. When you are in a .ipt file and you are working on your model and you place your cursor on a surface or an edge it highlights that which your cursor is on with a color. Mine is red. I am trying to figure out how to change that for a co-worker because his is white and it is very hard to see. Anybody know where I can find this setting at? It's driving me nuts because I have been working on this problem for over an hour now and can't find where to change it. Thanks. Quote
Custom Seating Posted May 25, 2010 Author Posted May 25, 2010 Never mind. I figured out how that works now. Those colors are controlled by the color scheme you choose and really aren't changeable. Quote
JD Mather Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 ...really aren't changeable. I think there might be something in the SDK, but I've never fooled with it. Quote
Custom Seating Posted May 25, 2010 Author Posted May 25, 2010 Hey JD. On the Grid Display in Sketch, where you can change the number of grid lines. Didn't that used to be in Application Options? They moved it to Document Settings in 2011 I think and it can't be saved any longer and only applies to the current file you are working in. Am I correct on that? Seemed better the other way, otherwise if you want your grid lines set at a certain size you have to change that every time in every part file you make. I could be wrong. Quote
linnmaster Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 I've tampered with the SDK to customise colours etc, and it stuffed things up bad on my Inventor, so I never touched it again. That was with 2009. Maybe things have been improved with 2010, but I've got used to the colour schemes now ... Quote
JD Mather Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 ... where you can change the number of grid lines... . I turned off grid 23 years ago. I consider using grid to be 1st grader stuff. http://home.pct.edu/~jmather/AU2006/MA13-3%20Mather.pdf Quote
