I right clicked POLAR and went to the settings. I clicked New to make Autocad track every angle. I highlight the new 'Additional angles' that I just created but once i click OK it doesnt use the new angle i just created. I want to track every degree, or even every other degree but it dont let me. I dont know what to do.

Using Autocad 2008.

If you want to track every degree, you must have been typing a lot of angles into the additional angles section, i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, . . .up to 359. Is that what you have done?

oh boy i didnt realize you had to do that for every single angle, i thought it assumed once you type in 1 it went in intervals of 1. well then i guess i got a lot of numbers to type.

thanks

In the settings for polar, swipe over the current increment angle value and type in 1 or 2, etc. Don't use additional angles for this application.

Don't waste your time, it will only accept up to ten additional angles.

Is swiping and editing the existing tracking angle list something that LT won't let you do? I have tried swiping to no avail.

Geesh, I have my tracking set on 5 deg and the cursor jitters like a fish on a stun gun. How could you even see after watching the tracking vector lock in and out for EVERY degree anyway? If someone wanted me to do that, they would find my workstation empty and me down at the pub, in short order.

If I didn't have LT, maybe I'd write a routine to change the color of the tracking vector line for every degree.
