PeterPan9720
Hi Guys I have the necessity to insert in a block the attribute of own x and y position in the modelspace. Is there a system variable to insert in the invisible block attributes ?. In this way may I manipulate the data of the blocks knowing his position. In the opposite case how to manipulate the the ATTOUT lsp in ACAD 2010 express tools to have the above information ? Thks.
Lee Mac
How about using a FIELD within the attributes of the block, referencing its own position? As for the ATTOUT, why not use DATAEXTRACTION
PeterPan9720
How about using a FIELD within the attributes of the block, referencing its own position? As for the ATTOUT, why not use DATAEXTRACTION Thank you I tried to use DATAEXTRACTION but I was not able to send back to the blocks the manipulated data. if you can explain me where to find the field for X & Y pos and add as block attribute I'll appreciate. Thanks
Lee Mac
I'm not sure it'll work both ways - the Field will not manipulate the block's position, rather just read the information. Go to FIELD > Object > [select the block] > Position Copy/Paste the field code into the attrib
