There is probably a super easy solution to this, I'm just have no idea what I'm really doing.

Alright, for the project I'm working on I need to know the weight. I figured to do this I have to enter the density somewhere. I made a new material of what I need (Aluminum 6061 to be exact) but couldn't find anywhere to enter the density. Any idea what I need to do to find the weight/enter the density? BTW I'm using AutoCad 2011.

Thanks Contagon.

From your AutoCAD Help file:

"With the MASSPROP command, you can analyze 3D solids and 2D regions for their mass properties including volume, area, moments of inertia, center of gravity, and so on. In addition, the result of the computations can be saved to a text file."

Alright that pretty much solved it. Thanks

Glad to be of service. You're entirely welcomed.

Ahh, 1 problem though. I got the mass properties of it and the mass=volume, so that means the density is 1. How do you change the density?

dear friend

it s my problem too.if you could find any solution please help me.

kind regards

With AutoCAD you will get a density of 1, simply multiply by the density of the material you want to use.
