Setup was unable to locate a valid ACLT.EXE, otherwise, exit setup 2. browse can't help this problem Thanks in Advance John Hello fellow "Tarheel". I would bet that you have to install in compatibility mode. 1. Right click on the instal.exe (setup.exe which ever it is). 2. Go to Properties. 3. Click on the Compatibility Tab 4. Click the check-box under "Compatibility Mode" and tell it to run in Windows 2000 mode. Hope this helps. Welcome to the forum Quote
petemorr Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 I have the same problem as jrm123 in trying to install AutoCad LT 97 but on Win XP Pro not Win XP Home. Changing the Compatibility Mode to Win 2K for the setup.exe file didn't result in any change. That is, I still got the "Setup was unable to locate a valid ACLT.EXE" error message and was asked to browse to a valid ACLT.exe file. Are there any other things that may be awry? Thanks, Pete Quote
ReMark Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Welcome to the CADTutor forum Pete. I would have chosen Win95 or Win98 not Win2K. Read this: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/helpandsupport/learnmore/appcompat.mspx Quote
