nath Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Hi, Im using AutoCad Lt 2007 and my PC was running on windows 2003, i have just upgraded to windows 2007. Is there a reason why old drawings with thin lines are now really thick either on the screen and also when printing. If i look at the layer and its properties the lines are thin. This has only started happening since i swapped to windows 2007. Can someone help please? Quote

Grid, Ortho, SnapMode, etc. The second one in from the right should be Show/Hide Lineweights. It's a plus sign with a bold upper left quadrant. Toggle it on or off. Quote
nath Posted June 7, 2010 Author Posted June 7, 2010 Hi gsksun4 Thanks for your reply, I toggled the LWT and yes there was a difference in thickness. I changed it from max to min and altough it made a difference on the screen, when i print the line thickness is the same whether the LWT is set to max or min? Can you suggest anything else? The same drawing can be looked at and printed from a different PC with no problems. Quote
nath Posted June 7, 2010 Author Posted June 7, 2010 Hi After looking again i changed the sliding scale from max to min which didn't work but i also changed the default line width from 2mm to 1mm. All is good now. Thanks for your help. Quote

You're welcome nath. Quote
busseynova Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 I'm going to hijack this topic briefly... when using the viewport linewights, there seems to be no fine adjustment between 0.3mm lineweight and 0mm. i.e anything set below 0.3mm just appears the same as 0mm even though there are several intervals inbetween. Moving the slider doesn't appear to do anything until everything from 0.25mm down to 0mm also appear thick (appearing as the same thickness for anything in this range). Is there any way to adjust the sensitivity/resolution for the display of fine lineweights below 0.3mm? Quote
gsksun4 Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 I'm not aware of any, but keep asking. Someone should help you before long. People here like to help, but sometimes they're busy at work. Quote
