LP_2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 I am having trouble when creating a template where I want the title bar to fill in automatically from the sheetset properties in AutoCAD 2008. I have created attributes in the title bar that are linked to 'Project Name', 'Project Number', 'Current Sheet Number' and others within the sheetset properties. I have then created a block with everything except the viewport and the text in the attributes changes to #### highlighted in grey. I then save this as a template. When I go to begin a drawing with this template the attributes in the title bar still read #### but they are no longer highlighed in grey or update automatically. What is going wrong or what step am I missing for the attributes to stop being linked to their fields. Thanks. Quote
iTijn Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 When using the Template to create a new drawing. The instruction must come from the SheetsetManager. If you do it any other way (for example FILE>NEW) then autocad won't know to which Sheetset the document should be linked. Fist make sure your template is used in the sheetset: - open the Sheetset Manager: SSM - rightclick the Subset (or Sheetroot) where the new file should be created - locate: Sheetset creation template for Subset. Browse for your template. Close the dialogue. Now when you right click again on the subset. select "New sheet". You can enter a number and a name and your links will be established. Hope this helps.
