Curly Bill
It is for sure acdb.err.I assume it means autocad data base, but don't know for sure. When you open the desktop icon,it says exactly as copied below: ------------------------ Wed Jun 09 12:59:07 2010 XMFLIB :10 Error loading header of message 708:7 from compiled messge file. ------------------------ Wed Jun 09 12:59:07 2010 XMFLIB : 7 Invalid message number 708:7 ------------------------ Wed Jun 09 12:59:07 2010 XMFLIB :10 Error loading header of message 482:2 from compiled messge file. ------------------------ Wed Jun 09 12:59:07 2010 XMFLIB : 7 Invalid message number 482:2 ------------------------ Wed Jun 09 12:59:07 2010 XMFLIB :10 Error loading header of message 708:8 from compiled messge file. ------------------------ Wed Jun 09 12:59:07 2010 XMFLIB : 7 Invalid message number 708:8 ------------------------ Wed Jun 09 12:59:07 2010 XMFLIB :10 Error loading header of message 482:2 from compiled messge file. ------------------------ Wed Jun 09 12:59:07 2010 XMFLIB : 7 Invalid message number 482:2 ------------------------ Wed Jun 09 12:59:07 2010 XMFLIB :10 Error loading header of message 482:1 from compiled messge file. ------------------------ Wed Jun 09 12:59:07 2010 XMFLIB : 7 Invalid message number 482:
ReMark
I've tried three different sources so far (one of them being the AutoDesk website) and have not found a definitive explanation for what is causing the error or how to fix it. When did it first occur? If you open multiple files do you get multiple errors or is the error file overwritten each time you load a new drawing? Curly Bill
It just showed up one day.I had our in house IT people look at it and they re-installed my Autocad. That did not fix it.If I open multiple drawings, it just adds more lines of test to the original notepad error desktop icon.I also did a complete virus scan on my machine and nothing came up as infected.
