Viewing line types in view ports / paper space

Hello, I am new at cad and I cannot figure this out. I have a floor plan that I drew in model space. I created a demo layer with the line type as hidden to show the objects that were to be removed. I then highlighted the objects that were to be removed, and " transfered" them to the demo layer. It works great in model space.

In the view port of the layout , the objects look normal. The view point scale and annotation scales are the same and as I change 1, the other follows suite.

I have been fooling with this for hours and cannot figure it out, I am sure this topic has been covered before, but would appreciate the help.

Are you trying to control the line type scale?

There are several system variables you should check:

  • LTSCALE controls the general line type scale
  • MSLTSCALE and PSLTSCALE. If they have the same value, they should appear the same
  • Annotation scale between viewport and model space. Same explanation as above.

Edwin, The objects that appeared hidden in model space would not appear as hidden in the veiw port of the layout. Per your instructions I entered LTScale, the value was at 55.000, I set it to 1 and they now appear the same in both the veiwport and model space.

Thank you!!!!

That is very helpful,

I used to modify the line scale in the property pallet. Now I know how to set the scale properly from the beginning.
