Cad64 Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Can you post your full system specs? If your computer can't handle Autocad, I doubt it will handle Solidworks. Autocad recommended minimum system requirements: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/pc/index?siteID=123112&id=13784795 Solidworks recommended minimum system requirements: http://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/SystemRequirements.html Quote
endlasuresh Posted June 12, 2010 Author Posted June 12, 2010 pentium 4 1.70 ghz 2 gb ram drive I got some errors while starting program i may think their is some viruses in my pc. Quote
Cad64 Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Run a virus scan and then come back and post the rest of your specs. Video card? Operating system? Is it 32 bit or 64 bit? You listed win XP and Vista in your computer details? Either stick with XP or upgrade to win 7. Get rid of Vista. Your processor should be ok for 2D work, but not for 3D work. 2GB RAM might be ok for 2D work, but not for 3D work. I think you should upgrade your system if you want to run these programs. Quote
fuccaro Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 The system requirements are posted on their website. http://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/hardware.html Quote
f700es Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Well a P4 @ 1.7 will not be a 64 bit system I am with CAD64 if you have issues with AutoCAD then SolidWorks will be even worse! Quote
