JimeeB Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 I have looked through numerous FAQS and websites and was unable to find a solution. Okay, I am using Inventor 2010. My problem is, when I click on the dimension tab and hover over a line to dimension, NOTHING happens. Meaning that the line does not change color and I am unable to drag the dim line out. I have also noticed this same problem with with trim and extend, however with those two functions i can hover over a line and press ENTER and the command will execute. This is not the case with dimension though. I have noticed that if I shut down and restart the program half a dozen or so times it will eventually work. If ANYONE can help with this it will be greatly appreciated. I really dont want to uninstall and reinstall the program..... Thank you Quote
MarkFlayler Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 What are your system specs? Some things to try... Update your video card driver Are you using OpenGL or DirectX on the Hardware tab of the Application Options? Did you have Antivirus off when you installed it? Quote

MarkFlayler Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 What is the video card you are using? Has it been certified? http://www.inventor-certified.com/graphics/ If everything else is up to date I might try a repair on the install (this does not reinstall, it only replaces or add missing or modified files) Quote
MarkFlayler Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Also, there are three service packs for Inventor 2010, make sure you got them in too. http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/index?siteID=123112&id=2334435&linkID=9242019#section4 Quote
JimeeB Posted June 16, 2010 Author Posted June 16, 2010 Thanks Mark. I will find and install the SP and then try the repair option. It's just very strange as this is an intermittent problem. Quote
