dinarele Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Hi, i have the little inconveniece with hatch boundary stretching in ACad 2011. In version 2010 i was able to select the hatch itself and strech it, adding additional points in the boundary. for example, if the boundary is square shape, i could pick the middle point of one side and stretch it, creating the 5th line and so on. The end points of the line would stay in the same position, while stretching middle point. The square could stretch into octagon or whatever you want. in 2011, if i pick a middle point of the line, i get to move all the line together with end points, not just this point. basically, you can strencth the hatch into sides, but there will still be just those 4 sides. I would expect, there should be some variable for that, but i just can't find it. any help? Thanks. Quote
Dana W Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Tools > Options > Selection > Selection Modes > click to check off Assotiative Hatch. Quote
Dana W Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 It is checked off. Hmmmmmm, It seems I have missunderstood what that check box does. It only allows simultanious selection of hatch and borders. It has no effect on hatch stretching with the borders. I am in 2009 LT and I cannot "bend" a border by pulling the midpoint of one of them. I can select two adjacent borders, and stretch the hatch and border by pulling the common end point whether the hatch is selected or not. Apparently, I know not where the solution you look for resides. Quote

dinarele Posted June 18, 2010 Author Posted June 18, 2010 Hi, Dana, yes, there is an option to pull the mid poin in 2010 and 2011, which i find very useful thanks for your replies. Pascal, thank you very much, it worked. Quote
