Ste1978 Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 I am having a problem with Inventor 2010, I am sure it's a simple fix. Whenever I draw a sketch, the lines do not automatically snap onto and existing point. This never happened in my previous version of Inventor. so now I am drawing sketches and because the lines are not actually snapping together, they are not closed sketches and the extrude command is not working. I can't seem to find a setting to sort this out? It's strange because when I draw a simple rectangle using the line command, although the sketch looks fine, it will not extrude! Quote
JD Mather Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 Constraint Persistence. Looks like perpendicular icon. Was not in Inventor before 2010. Quote
shift1313 Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 There is a button on the sketch ribbon that is constraint persistence. It's possible you accidentally turned it off. As far as actual options, while you are in a sketch, right click and the pop up menu will have Constraint Options on it. This will allow you to pick which constraints are automatic. Quote
