crispotts
Hi to one and all, As a new member I would appreciate some advice, despite being an AutoCAD user for the last 25 years( I started on version R10) I have learnt my way around by trial and error so need some help on this topic. I tend to draw in model space at 1unit to 1mm and then produce various different scaled layouts in paper space. Anything from 1:2500 to 1:50 and varying paper sizes A1 down to A4. On the smaller sizes of print papers I tend to lose clarity on text so how does one keep the text as clear as it appears in model space. SIMPLE >>>becomes>>> SAMPLE but more blurred For the title block I type in paper space so no problems here. Thanks in anticipation, I am sure it is a simple solution that I once knew but have since forgotten in my old age. Crispotts
Skybeorn
What type of Font are you Using? Have you tried adjusting the character spacing? Is the text on a layer that is plotting a lineweight?
crispotts
Hi Skybeorn, Because of this problem I have had to change the fonts to simplex as anything else is impossibly blurred. I will have a look a layers and character spacing and get back to you. Thanks Crispotts
crispotts
Hi Skybeorn, Yes you were obviously on the right track, as the lineweight was set to 0.8mm. Reverting to 0.00mm makes a whole lot of difference although for A4 prints one still seems to need to use a 'simplex' type font as 'arial' still is a bit blurred at this size. Where can I check character spacing? Crispotts.
Skybeorn
Crispotts, Check the ScreenShot. I guess the correct term is "tracking". Let me know if that helps *_*
