scoot3r Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Hello, I'm new to CAD, I have a question, I have two separate DWG drawings, they are scaled differently and I want to import the one DWG into the other DWG and of course I need the scale on each to be the same. How can I scale the one to match the other? Thank you very much in advance. Quote
sparkyuk Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 The drawings should already be the same scale in model space ? ie 1:1, its only when you put them into paper space they are scaled Quote
viviancarvalho Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 You can use the align command instead. Command: align Specify first source point: HERE SELECT ONE POINT OF OBJ 1 Specify first destination point: HERE SELECT CORRESPONDING POINT ON OBJ-2 Specify second source point:HERE SELECT ONE MORE POINT OF OBJ 1 Specify second destination point:HERE SELECT CORRESPONDING POINT ON OBJ-2 Specify third source point or : Scale objects based on alignment points? [Yes/No] : y immediately after this use the move command "MOVE " and hit enter then say "p" (previous) & move the selected objects sufficient far from the other. Quote
ReMark Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Sounds like a basic math problem to me. You do know both scales right? Quote
weiwah Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 If you know both scale,ie 1:50 and 1:100. When you want to match 1:100 to 1:50, you need to type in SC >select the dwg> 2 factor. Quote
