Hello!

We are looking to improve our office management at work.

We are an engineering/architecture consultancy and would have dozens of projects ongoing at once.

What I would like is some kind of software/database that would hold project numbers, drawing/docment numbers, client details etc. in one place.

How do other offices keep track of project and drawing numbers etc?

There are some architect management software solutions online such as Archioffice and ArchAdministrator but they look like overkill for our needs and more importantly are way too expensive.

Is there any affordable solution to this?

Thanks!

I fined Microsoft excel works well with using filters to sort jobs.

You could add a link form the CAD program to the Excel file.

Use a database. Excel gets messy & a pain if more than one person wants to access the data. DvTDM from Practical programs is good. www.practicalprograms.com A nice little project (more single use) on from Csoft is called EDA www.csoft.com Rasterex used to have a great one called RxIndex

Thanks for the replies guys.

I think excel could get messy after a year or two.

I found this simple database creator: brilliantdatabase . com which looks good for my needs. Hopefully it'll live up to its name!
