designerstuart Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 hi all i have a table on loads of drawings which all require a new row with the same contents (it's a revision box with the date, issue no. etc) when it was simple lines and text i could just copy with base point and drop it into each one - but if i copy a row from the table the whole table is copied. is there a way to just copy one row from a table and add it onto the last line of tables in other drawings? thanks Quote
lpseifert Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Not directly that I know of. Try this. In the source table, select the contents (not the table's outside frame) and hit Ctrl+C. In the destination table, Insert a new row below the bottom one, then select the leftmost cell of the new row and hit Ctrl+V. This should paste the contents into the second table. Quote
designerstuart Posted July 1, 2010 Author Posted July 1, 2010 yeah thanks i'd got that far, just wondered if there was a way to 'merge' rows or tables without getting into the content. seems like the old lines and text has it advantage! Quote
bonehead411 Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 There is a way to copy/paste a single row of a table, but it pastes as a new table. Select the row as shown below. Keep the left mouse button pressed as you draw the selection window: Once selected it will look like this: Right-click to copy: Hit escape, as to successfully paste the copied row, you must not have anything selected. Right-click and paste the row into your drawing: Hope this helps. Quote
designerstuart Posted July 1, 2010 Author Posted July 1, 2010 thanks bonehead, but i wanted a way that made it part of the destination table. appreciate the help though! Quote
