franchew Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Hi, I have a problem with my set of drawings, most of the text are in German language, is there a lisp where in it will automaticall convert into english language. Francois Quote
fuccaro Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Welcome in the forum, Francois! I am afraid you will not find an automatic translator inside AutoCAD. But with some additional work it can be done. There are Lisp programs to export all the texts from a drawing in a file. An Automatic translator could translate the text. And finally, an other lisp could place the translated text back to the drawing. I've heard that Mechanical has some facilities for this, but I never worked with. Quote
franchew Posted July 5, 2010 Author Posted July 5, 2010 Thanks for the reply fuccaro, i'll try that out. Quote
edwinprakoso Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Try this one: http://www.cadforum.cz/cadforum_en/qaID.asp?tip=2280 It will use Google Language tools, so you can translate many languages from/to yours. Quote
dbroada Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 I've said it before but I don't mind repeating myself..... the translators in line are well ' to obtain the idea ' but enough good is not close for a technical document anywhere. or to put it in English before I translated it to Spanish and back again online translators are fine to "get the idea" but are nowhere near good enough for a technical document. try it yourself and then decide if you want something built to "translated" text or if you want to pay a bit more and have a person do it. as an exampl Quote
