harley558 Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 I am trying to create a new part within my assembly. When it ask for me to pick the face of object I need to relate the new part to it moves the origin for me to start the creation to the top of the object, it is not staying with the original origin of the object that is already created. Is there a way to reposition the origin it has gave me or is there a way to keep the origin in its original position and not have it move? Quote
harley558 Posted July 6, 2010 Author Posted July 6, 2010 Here is a rar of my file just so you can see what I am trying to do. When you try to create part on the new work plane I have created the origin is up at the top. Quote

JD Mather Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Sorry can't send zip....there is no way of zipping my file down to 250 kb....which that is a very small amount to begin with Did you roll up the EOP? In the ipt files find the red End of Part Marker. Drag the red EOP to the top of the browser hiding all features. Save the file. In Windows Explorer right click on the folder containing the itps and iam file and select Send to Compressed (zipped) folder. Attach the resulting *.zip file here. (use Windows to zip - I don't have any third party software to extract rar files) If still too large then compress each of the 3 files individually and attach individually. Quote
harley558 Posted July 6, 2010 Author Posted July 6, 2010 Here is the ipts and the iam a1.zip a2.zip a3.zip a4.zip a5.zip Quote
