Alezi Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Hello everyone, I’m newbie here on the forum with pretty poor experience work in AutoCAD, which means I have for some of them very simple problems, for my drawings I want to change ratio factor between model and layout drawings, for example can I change between actual size of the model and size of the layout same object, like 4:1 or 1:3.I was see scalelistedit command but I’m not sure how I can use it. Thanks in advance Alezi. Quote
nukecad Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Everything in modelspace should be drawn at 1:1 (full size). Then use the VIEWPORT scaling in layout space to get it to the size you need for printing. Quote
hazardman Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 also, if it's not in the scale list you can manually create the proper zoom... if you need 1:4 then in the viewport type the zoom command followed by you typing in 1/4xp...this mean that the vieport will zoom to 1/4 the size of paperspace which is 1/4 x pspace... if 1:50, 1/50xp...if 1:7.5, then 10/75xp (as you can only use whole numbers)...if, 1/2"=1'-0", 1/24xp etc...this is how we used to do it before autocad had scalelists ... this of course will only work if the model space units and paper space units are the same, ie if model in mm then your title block must be in mm (see post 34 in this thread... http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=50174 ) Quote
