Layer Manager Column Width Format

So, I recently updated to AutoCAD 2011 MEP and the Layer Manager's columns keep sharing the same width. I can make the widths smaller manually, but then when I switch between files, or even just tabs in the same dwg the columns randomly stretch back to uniform width showing only 2.1 columns on the window without scrolling.

 

Any way to save my manually altered format to the default?
