can someone please give me the 'idiots guide' to binding please, just as basic as it gets please, I have never had the opportunity to do this and I am very curious if I needed to do it to a lot of drawings,

thank you very much to anyone who knows

One at a time - open the reference manager, select a reference drawing, right click, choose Bind.

Multiple references in multiple drawings, you can use eTransmit.

Post back if you need more assistance on either.

took a while getting back to this,

in e-transmit it zips it and keeps all the drawings in their same state, is there not a way to select, say 15 referenced drawings and bind them all into the same drawing in one action, rather than go through the 15 individually?

thanks a lot for your help, I am still very much learning acad, for this problem there was a quick way I used to do it in microstation so I imagine there must be one in acad

I don't have 2008 on this machine, so the screenshot below is from 2010. Is the "Bind" option not available in your Etransmit settings?
