Copying Objects by Layer

Hey Guys is there a way to copy an object or in my case about 200 objects by the layer they are on instead of selecting each and every individual entity?

 

Posted below you will see an example of what I'm trying to accomplish. Circled in yellow are a bunch of floor boxes, I need to copy these all into another drawing, i'm trying to save some time and not have to select every one of the individual floor boxes....any help would be greatly appreciated.

Both the ._QSelect and ._Filter commands can assist you in selecting items by layer.

works like a charm, i completely forgot about the filter command. I used the Qselect and it worked great, thank you very much for your help.
