Hi there,

I have done a search but cant seem to find anything, as they all seem to be problems about going from excel to CAD..anyways..

I have a table in Auto cad ( 2008 ) that I would like to transfer to Excel, I have tried copying the table, and copying the cells, but no good. My question to you all is have any of you done this before?

Thanks in advanace!

I am not sure how to export from CAD to Excel as I always use datalink. This allows 2 way communication between them both. While that does not help you here it is worth looking in to for the future.

You want to use the Data Extraction wizard and select as your output option Microsoft Excel (xls).

I stopped using this method a while ago and do just as Dave does and use a Datalink.

Hopefully someone is still following this thread... Does this work for dynamic tables in CAD? I've made a table of Parcel Areas but I cannot find any way to export this data. The Datalink looks like it will only work for tables made using the Table command and the data extraction will not give me the names of the parcels like the table will. Any suggestions?

Can you attach a .dwg file with the tabel. 2004 file format plz.

Mike,

Saving to a 2004 file format will remove the capabilities of the dynamic table and turn it into a AEC object. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure if this only a Civil 3d object. I suppose it may be. I'll try my question there. Thanks for trying to help though.
