Bobzy20 Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 (edited) Can somebody show me how to create an assembly so I can fit this tyre to the wheel? http://modelbuild.co.uk/sw/ar8.jpg See link above as the image was too big for this site. Any help would be great Thanks Bobzy20 Edited July 23, 2010 by Bobzy20 Quote
JD Mather Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Turn on visibility of temporary axis. Mate the axis. Mate a couple of circles where contact or workplanes through the center. I suspect that there are probably some built-in Tutorials in SWx that cover similar cylindrical assembly constraint techniques. Quote
Bobzy20 Posted July 23, 2010 Author Posted July 23, 2010 Thanks for the info, I’ve now managed to mate them via the axes so they are aligned but I have no idea how to do the next part. Quote
JD Mather Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 You should be able to mate by simply holding the Ctrl key and selecting a circle on the wheel and tire beads. Quote
Bobzy20 Posted July 24, 2010 Author Posted July 24, 2010 If somebody could align the tyre onto the wheel for me that would be great. Also if you could explain what you did that would actually be better. See file link below: http://modelbuild.co.uk/sw/AR8_WHEEL_ASSEMBLY.zip Also in the tyre drawing I seem to have 2 Axis’s (Axis1 & Axis2) and they have a ? displayed after them, what does this mean? Cheers Bobzy20 Quote
